This month’s theme: many rivers to cross

Just as Jimmy Cliff lamented in his powerful Jamaican soul classic, so we have many bodies of water in the Burton area. For rivers think brooks – take your pick between the Burton, Bybrook or Broadmead – plus springs, streams, bourns, lakes, ponds and puddles. If prog rock is more your thing, you may want to capture early morning Smoke on the Water, or go folk rock with foot-Bridge Over Troubled Water, you may even find inspiration by channeling the lip-syncing pretty-boy duo with Nettleton Mill-i Vanilli.

You don’t need expensive camera equipment to enter. Previous finalists have used phone cameras to exceptional effect.

If you’re wondering what happened to the April competition, well, yes, so are we!
