Sunday, 03 July 2016 – Burtonites gathered in the beautiful sunshine to celebrate their happy community and Her Majesty the Queen’s 90 birthday year, hosted by the Burton Community Association. Large numbers of volunteers managed to create an American style BBQ, complete with cheeseburgers, hotdogs, and barbecue ribs, that drew in a huge crowd for food, fun, and cheer. Money was raised for the new children’s play area and new friendships were forged. It was a festive and beautiful day with plans for a similar celebration next year already underway!
