A Neighbourhood Plan can establish general planning policies for development in a defined area and is intended to give communities more of a say in the development of their local area.  The plan must be compatible with local authority and national planning strategies, and must be supported by the local community.

As part of Nettleton Parish Council’s investigation of the community’s support for a Neighbourhood Plan, a questionnaire is being distributed to all households in Burton during August.

The questionnaire was devised by a working group, with representation from the three significant communities in the Nettleton Parish, i.e. Burton, Nettleton and West Kington.  The working group was convened under the purview of NPC.  The members of the working group are Al Caie (Burton), Nuala Dunne (West Kington), Chris Enderby (West Kington), Kevin Herniman (Nettleton), Chris Meier (Nettleton) and Amanda Read (Burton).

The working group is keen to gather views and input from Burton residents on the merit of investing in a Neighbourhood Plan, as well as other matters of relevance to the community.  Please complete the questionnaire and submit by the method indicated on the form.

The background and purpose of the questionnaire, together with further information and timescales of Neighbourhood Planning, will be provided with the questionnaire.
