This month we will be reading Winesburg, Ohio: A Group of Tales of Ohio Small Town Life by Sherwood Anderson (1919).  The book is a collection of interrelated short stories about the various inhabitants of the fictional small Midwestern town of Winesburg.

Anderson was in the vanguard of American writers to incorporate modern psychological insights, especially those of Sigmund Freud, and was influential on later authors such as Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott FitzGerald and William Faulkner.

The book is available in Kindle format, paperback and online, where it is free to download (http://www.bartleby.com/156/).

The Burton Book Club meets on the 3rd Monday of every month, at 19:30 in the Old House @ Home. See the calendar for future dates.

If you are interested in joining the Book Club, please enter your details in the following form, or just turn up on the night.
