Speedwatch really works

There was a surprise for drivers yesterday (5 July) morning, because we did a speedwatch sesssion before 8am for the first time in over a year

Lesley, Magda and Chris were up with the lark and did a 1hr session starting at 7.30. Out of about 300 passing cars they recorded 29 cars doing 36mph or more.

In a session at 7.30 today, also with about 300 passing cars, there were only 6 cars recorded.

So a number of drivers who didn’t observe the speed limit yesterday did observe it today, because of the possibility of speed checks.
