Why not join the Ride & Stride sponsored cycle, walk, jog, horse-ride, and even mobility scooter around a few local churches to raise money for St Mary’s – your very own parish church – and the Wiltshire Historic Churches Trust?
It’s on Saturday 9th September. You can choose your own route to go to as few or as many churches as you like. Many churches offer refreshments and comfort breaks, and of course there are some excellent pubs in the area. Click here for a list of churches you can visit and other information for riders and striders, so get your maps out and start work.
Half of your sponsorship money goes direct to St Mary’s and half to the Trust. In recent years the Trust have given us grants of several thousand pounds for replacing the floor and seating at the west end of the church, and repairs to the font, the porch, and stained glass windows.
We hope you will support them and us and have an enjoyable day out going round our beutiful countryside and churches.
