The nascent Bridge Group at last night’s meeting
At last night’s general meeting of the Community Association the Burton Bridge Group was born. Championed by David Staincliffe, the group already boasts eight members. As David said, ‘the group is open to players of all standards, including the complete novice’. As long as you know what a deck of cards looks like and the basics of Whist (how to trump an opponent’s card), David says the group will have you fully up to speed with how to play Contract Bridge within a couple of sessions.
